Launched experimentally on December 1, 2008, Payam broadcasts in the Sorani Kurdish dialect. Its mission is to promote religious principles, highlight the Kurdish people’s heritage as an indigenous Muslim nation, and provide an Islamic viewpoint on Kurdish affairs and global events. The channel is part of the Komal Media Network and is backed by the Kurdistan Justice Group.
